The Glendale Community Foundation welcomes grant
requests from public agencies and nonprofit organizations that
serve the greater Glendale area
including La Cañada Flintridge, La Crescenta, Montrose and Verdugo
City. Grant recipients must have appropriate fiscal and program
accountability.
Other than student loans or scholarships, the Foundation generally
does not make grants to individuals, funding for religious or political
purposes, for budget deficits or projects that are usually the responsibility
of a public agency.
Grants are provided in the following areas of interest:
- Arts
and Culture
- Civic
- Disabled/Handicapped
- Education Programs
- Health
- Homeless Services
- Human Services
- Senior Services
- Student Aid
- Youth Services
Application Procedure
To make your application as effective
as possible, please call to obtain a current set of guidelines
from the Community Foundation and be aware
of information needed before submitting a proposal. Applications
may be submitted at any time. Grant guidelines are also available
on our website

All requests are reviewed by staff and by the Distribution Committee
at its regularly scheduled meetings. Funding recommendations are then
presented to the full Board of Directors for final decision. All grant
applicants are notified in writing with respect to grant decisions.
