Investing in charity is our business. Although donors may recommend
grants for specific charitable organizations, we believe our best charitable
investing is when donors allow us to exercise discretion and flexibility
in meeting changing needs.
This is accomplished by donors creating unrestricted funds or designating
a broad field of interest within which our board can direct grants as
charitable opportunities arise.
Giving to the Community Foundation at the end of the year is the best
way to get the most tax savings for your contribution.
- Giving to the Community Foundation is still the best
and easiest way to put a multi-year or lifetime plan for philanthropy
into place.
- Only at the Community Foundation can you obtain the advantages
of charitable trusts in combination with the many types of charitable
funds at the
Foundation.
- Obtain the maximum tax deduction allowed by law on contributions.
We would be glad to discuss end-of-year gifts to achieve
your philanthropic and financial planning objectives for 2003 and beyond.

create them. Our donor-advised funds currently are as small as $1,000
(our minimum to establish one) and as large as $225,000. But their
sizes are limitless.

provision in our will.
